# Control AI Access

Decide whether your public link is open to everyone or gated behind an invite code.

In the sidebar, open the AI block and select **Publish**.

The badge on the **Share publicly** card shows the current state: **Public**, **Private**, **Paid**, or **Not ready**.

To keep the link private, gate it with a code:

1. In **Share publicly**, select **Make private**.
2. If you don't have a code yet, the **Private access codes** dialog opens. Enter a code (letters, numbers, and hyphens, no spaces), and select **Add code** for more.
3. Optional — add a **Request code URL** so clients who tap **Request code** on the gate are sent to a form, community link, or checkout page. Leave it blank to hide that action.
4. Select **Save**.

Clients then enter one of these codes before they reach your AI. To change codes later, use **Manage invite codes**.

Invite-only AIs need at least one code before they count as ready to share — without a code, no one can get in. Public access is shareable straight away. To switch a private AI back to open, select **Publish your AI**.

When your AI is public, **Public link limits** lets you decide how much visitors can try before they join your community, so a launch doesn't run down your credits.
