# Launch Your AI From Scratch

A start-to-finish path: from an empty Studio to an AI your clients can talk to, in an afternoon.

> **Your AI** is available on certain plans and app types. If you don't see the AI block in your sidebar, please check our pricing page for more information.

## Before You Start

You can do this in one sitting. Have three things ready: a name for your AI, a photo, and 3–5 pieces of your best material — a program outline, your FAQs, and the documents you'd send a new client in week one.

## 1. Set Who Your AI Is

In the sidebar, open the AI block — it carries your AI's name — and select **Identity & voice** (previously Profile). Set the name and photo clients will see, and add a voice sample if you want spoken replies in your own pacing. Full steps: [Set Your AI's Name and Photo](/help/make-your-ai-sound-like-you/set-your-ai-name-and-photo.md).

## 2. Give Them Something to Work From

Open **Resources** and add your strongest material first — answers come from your library, not the open web. Set each Resource's **Visibility** so your AI knows what to show clients and what to use quietly. Full steps: [Add Resources to Your Library](/help/make-your-ai-answer-well/add-resources.md).

## 3. Set How They Behave

Open **Behavior** and make three quick calls: pick a **Primary role** (Coaching, Reference, or Ideation), add a couple of **Custom rules** for things your AI should always or never do, and set **Boundaries** for topics they should decline. Full steps: [Set Your AI's Primary Role](/help/make-your-ai-answer-well/set-primary-role.md).

## 4. Test a Few Real Questions

Before you share, ask your AI the questions your clients actually ask. Read the replies and check the citations — if an answer is thin or off, you've found a gap to fix now rather than after launch. Not sure which lever to pull? See [How Your AI Decides What to Say](/help/make-your-ai-answer-well/how-your-ai-decides.md).

## 5. Publish and Share

Open **Publish**. If you have a Passion app, turn your AI on for everyone in it and pick which plans get access; otherwise share your `passion.io` link, or embed a widget on your site. Full steps: [Share Your AI With a Public Link](/help/get-your-ai-in-front-of-clients/share-public-link.md).

## 6. Watch the First Conversations

Open **Insights** to read the first real threads and **People** to see who's engaging. Where an answer was weak, tighten the matching Resource or add a rule in Behavior. Your AI gets sharper every time you do.
