# Choose What Your AI Can Do on Its Own

Decide what your AI handles for you and what waits for your approval, so the routine work moves while the calls that matter stay with you.

## How Autonomy Works Today

Your AI doesn't only answer questions — they spot gaps, draft fixes, and flag things worth your attention. You stay in control of what happens next.

When your AI has something for you, it shows up as an attention item, not a silent change. You approve it, pick a different option, or set it aside. Nothing that needs your judgment happens behind your back.

Two surfaces carry this:

* **Home** (previously Dashboard) — the live queue of what needs your attention right now.
* **Decisions** — the record of every call you've made and what came of it.

Both sit in the sidebar. Start on **Home** to act, and use **Decisions** to look back.

## Approve What Your AI Proposes

**Home** opens on your overview — recent activity, attention items, and quick stats. When your AI has proposals waiting, they collect under **Needs your attention**.

1. In the sidebar, select **Home**.
2. Find the **Needs your attention** section. The count tells you how many decisions are waiting.
3. Read the card. Each one names the area it touches, gives a short summary, and shows a confidence score for that specific call — a lower score is why your AI is asking you rather than acting alone.
4. Choose an action button. The first option is what your AI suggests; the second is the alternative.
5. Not ready to decide? Select the clock icon to **Remind me later** and the card returns next time.

Work through the queue card by card. Each decision clears as you make it, and the next one moves to the front.

## Review the Decisions You've Made

Every call you make is kept, so you can see the pattern in what your AI proposes and how you responded.

1. In the sidebar, select **Decisions**.
2. Decisions are grouped by week, newest first, with a count of entries per week.
3. Select any row to open its full timeline — the original proposal, the action you took, and any outcome your AI surfaced afterward.

This is where you check whether your AI is reading situations the way you would. If the same kind of proposal keeps coming up and you keep approving it the same way, that's a sign to adjust the boundaries below.

## Set the Boundaries Your AI Works Within

Approving items one by one keeps you close to the action. To change what your AI does *before* it ever reaches your queue, shape their behavior.

1. In the sidebar, open the AI block and select **Behavior**.
2. Set the **Primary role** so your AI knows how closely to stick to your Resources.
3. Add **Custom rules** — the always-do and never-do lines your AI follows, written in plain language.

Clear rules cut down the proposals that needed your input only because the situation was ambiguous. The more specific your boundaries, the more confidently your AI acts within them — and the shorter your attention queue. For the full walkthrough, see *Write instructions your AI will follow*.

## FAQ

**Will my AI do anything without asking me?** Anything that needs your judgment surfaces as an attention item first. You decide; your AI doesn't act on those calls until you do.

**Where do approved items go?** Straight to **Decisions**, with the original proposal, your action, and any later outcome attached.

**A proposal looked wrong. How do I stop it happening again?** Open **Behavior** and add a custom rule for that scenario, or check your Resources for an example that read like permission. Adjusting the boundary is better than declining the same card every week.

**I missed a card. Is it gone?** No. Use **Remind me later** to defer one on purpose, and check **Decisions** to find anything you've already acted on.
