# Add Custom Rules for Your AI

Write the always-do and never-do lines your AI follows on top of their primary role.

## Write Your Rules

**Custom rules** are the specific phrases, scenarios, and always-do / never-do lines your AI should follow.

1. In the sidebar, open the AI block and select **Behavior**.
2. Find **Custom rules**.
3. Write each rule in plain language — for example, "Use everyday language. When a client asks about pricing, point them to the latest playbook rather than guessing."
4. Your changes save as you type; the card shows the save status.

Keep rules short and specific. A few clear lines work better than one long paragraph.

## Import Rules From Another AI

Already wrote instructions for another AI? Bring that wording in and adjust it instead of starting over.

1. In **Custom rules**, select **Import from another AI**.
2. Choose the other AI you want to copy rules from.
3. Edit the imported wording so it fits your AI, then let it save as you type.
