# Set What Your AI Can Use and Show

Control how your AI uses each Resource — and whether clients ever see it — with the Visibility setting.

## Choose a Visibility

In the sidebar, open the AI block and select **Resources**. Every Resource has a **Visibility** setting in the column on the right of each row. There are three options.

1. **Cited** — your AI uses the Resource and shows it to clients as a clickable card in chat. Best for material you're happy to surface directly.
2. **Private** — your AI uses the Resource silently in answers but never shows it to clients. Best for internal notes, pricing logic, or anything behind the scenes.
3. **Off** — your AI ignores the Resource. Use it to park outdated material without deleting it.

Both **Cited** and **Private** feed your AI's answers. The difference is whether clients see the Resource as a card.

## Set Visibility for Several at Once

Change a batch of Resources together when you're tidying the library.

1. Select the rows you want to change.
2. In the bulk bar, select **Set visibility**.
3. Pick **Cited**, **Private**, or **Off** for all the selected rows.

Keep at least one Resource on **Cited** or **Private** — if every Resource is **Off**, none of your content reaches your AI. When too many are off, the page warns you, because there's less for your AI to draw on.
