# Add and Manage Members

Add a client by hand, correct their details, give them courses and plans, and remove them when they leave.

> **People** management is available on certain plans and app types. If you can't add or edit members, please check our pricing page for more information.

## Add a Client

Add someone directly when they've paid outside your app, or when you're setting up a client you already work with.

1. In the sidebar, select **People** (previously Clients).
2. Select **Add client**.
3. Enter their **Name** and **Email**.
4. Save.

The email is how they sign in, so check it before saving — a typo means an invitation nobody receives.

## Correct a Client's Details

1. Open the client from the roster.
2. Select **Edit client**.
3. Change their **Name** or **Email**.
4. Save.

Use this for a changed email address rather than adding a second record. Two records split one person's history across both.

## Give Them Courses and Plans

A client's profile carries their access as well as their activity:

* **Courses** — what they can work through. Grant a course here when someone should have access without being on the plan that includes it.
* **Offer & billing** — the plan they're on and their billing detail.
* **Community** — their activity in your channels.
* **AI conversations** — their full chat history with your AI. What they've been asking about leads the **Overview** tab.

Granting a course directly is the exception, not the rule. If you find yourself doing it repeatedly, the plan is what needs changing — see [Create a Plan](/help/sell-access-to-your-app/create-a-plan.md).

## Remove a Client

Removing a client takes away their access.

1. Open the client, or select them in the roster.
2. Choose the remove action and confirm.

Their conversation history goes with them, so if you only want to stop the billing, change their plan instead of removing the person.
